Director, Editor, Model.
Learn more about my process—progressive idea drafting, location scouting, styling for my models, and schedule coordination—all coming together to bring each project to life.
When I was studying at Emerson College. I first had this idea of a runway that takes place in the subway, street sidewalks, a path in residential areas, or busy downtown. Soon, a picture of a runway fashion show taking place in our daily living environment but at night popped into my head.
A FASHION SHOW AT NIGHT!
Once I had the ideas, I started my location hunting by walking around the Boston area when the sun dimmed. Location included Green Line Subway: Prudential, Christian Science Park, South End Residential, the Common Park, and Downtown Crossing.
The scheduling process was taken very seriously since all the shoots occurred after 11 PM. The crew members and the models' times were scheduled two months ahead of the dates. Once the schedule was confirmed, I planned and conducted fashion workshops with all our models to create the outfits they felt most comfortable with and noted who would be in which locations. Including myself, we had five models in total, and a three-person crew including a camera operator, a gaffer, and me the director. We spent seven nights shooting in Boston. Each night, there were different models at different locations, and on the last two nights, we had everyone together to finish the final group scene.
